In many ways, this is exactly what happens as I reintroduce my clients' to their surroundings and they begin to properly 'see' thier homes again, often for the first time in years.

Long before many people this side of the Atlantic had heard the term ‘House Doctoring’, I was successfully ‘Staging’ my own properties for sale.
As a keen property investor and developer I combined my experience of the interiors and property markets and began applying many of the techniques I learnt whilst designing showhomes and furnishing rental properties, to ensure that my own properties were ‘Dressed to Sell’.
Using tried and tested ‘tricks of the trade’ I was delighted to discover that my properties were being sold - or let - within a week of being presented to the market…ensuring that I maximised my profits by selling quickly and at the highest possible price.

I learnt that if I want to achieve a quick and profitable sale, it is essential to create the right first impression by ensuring that my properties were presented to the market looking their best.
Drawing upon my experience and success in selling my properties quickly and profitably, I began offering my property staging services to a much wider audience, including clients in Spain, Holland and the USA.
I now work with home owners and property investors by identifying their target market and styling their property according to the requirements of this market.
• My aim to ensure that my clients' property has the ‘wow’ factor, before the property is put on the market. The property stands a much greater chance of selling quickly and at the highest price if it is presented to the market at the outset looking its best.
• It can be much harder to encourage buyers to return for a second look if you decide to 'test the market' before making the required improvements. By this time it is often too late and you could potentially slow down your sale for months, particularly in a quiet market.
• For just a small investment in a 'House Doctor' consultation, my clients often add thousands of pounds to the value of their properties and achieve fast sales at the highest prices.

• A home which will provide a welcoming and supportive environment in which they can leave the stresses of the world behind.
• I work with clients to help turn their house into a home by bringing the different elements of their house together to create a relaxing and welcoming space in which to live.
• Usually, my advice involves making very simple changes such as changing a paint colour, rearranging the furniture and personal items, clearing the clutter and adding a few additional accessories here and there if required.

I am often asked to explain the main differences between preparing a home for sale and turning a house into a home. The answer to this is a simple one:-
• In the first instance, the focus is on ‘depersonalising’ the space.
When you are selling your home, you want to remove as much of ‘you’ from your home as possible to allow your prospective purchasers to ‘see’ themselves living here.
• In the second case, the complete opposite is true.
To turn a house into a home, you have to ensure that your home is a 'true reflection of you’.
The more you can express who you are through your surroundings, the more comfortable and ‘at home’ you will feel.
